In fact, at first glance a person might assume it was a sculpture rather than a piece of furniture. With its sweeping copper frame and white cube lampshade, it is the perfect accent for any contemporary home. Designed by Designlump, the Focal Point Light is practical in that the frame allows the lampshade to move along it to illuminate specific areas. The shade itself swivels around as well. Whether used as direct or decorative lighting, the Focal Point Light is a beautiful furniture piece that many people will enjoy, especially when it comes to [Instagram](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instagram-brand-identity)-worthy home decor and interior design. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 91% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modern Sculptural Lamps:** The Focal Point Light blurs the line between furniture and art, offering a disruptive innovation in the field of lighting design. - **Practical Artistic Lighting:** The Focal Point Light's movable lampshade and swiveling frame creates a versatile lighting solution, presenting a disruptive innovation opportunity for the home decor industry. - **Instagram-worthy Home Decor:** With its stunning design and ability to create visually captivating lighting effects, the Focal Point Light taps into the growing trend of Instagram-worthy home decor, providing an opportunity for social media-driven marketing strategies. ### Where This Applies - **Lighting Design:** The Focal Point Light showcases a new direction in lighting design, offering designers and manufacturers an opportunity to explore the fusion of practicality and artistic appeal. - **Home Decor:** The Focal Point Light's unique design and aesthetic make it a game-changer in the home decor industry, providing an opportunity for retailers to cater to the demand for innovative and visually striking products. - **Interior Design:** The Focal Point Light presents an exciting opportunity for interior designers to incorporate a sculptural lighting element into their projects, elevating the overall aesthetic and creating a memorable experience for clients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-lamp.md) - [Geometric Industrial Desktop Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-lamp.md) - [Suspended Halo Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamplox-minimalist-floor-lamp.md) - [Illusory Multidimensional Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drop-light.md) - [Sculptural Glass Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuloa.md) - [Elegant Axis-Mounted Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pendulum-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Metal Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape.md) - [Ultra-Chic Sculptural Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-lighting-design.md)
