Made out of luscious [acacia wood and stainless steel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tortugaware), this gnarly [serving platter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thermal-serving-dish) has stainless steel legs, so it can properly land on your kitchen table. Plus, if you do manage to get your hands on the flying saucer bowl, you have every right to talk in a silly alien voice. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 2% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Space Themed Serveware:** An opportunity for designers and manufacturers to cater to a growing interest in futuristic space-themed kitchenware. - **Native Woodcraft Design:** Utilizing native woods in servingware and kitchen utensils can create a unique experience for consumers looking for something different. - **Whimsical Serveware:** The market appears to be demanding more playful and quirky serveware like the flying saucer fruit bowl. ### Where This Applies - **Kitchenware:** Manufacturers of kitchenware can take advantage of the growing demand for unique and playful serving ware that cater to consumers increasingly interested in design and unique experiences for their homes. - **Furniture:** Furniture designers can develop more space-themed décor to include in their designs offering consumers more futuristic-looking pieces. - **Craftsmanship:** Craftsmen and artisans can explore the use of native woods to create unique and artisanal designs for servingware and utensils, generating interest from consumers looking for a more unique dining experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Otherworldly Themed Rocking Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ufo-rocking.md) - [Millennium Falcon Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-tray.md) - [Galactic-Themed Pen Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ufo-desk-pen.md) - [Display-Centric Dynamic Fruit Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circuit.md) - [Flying Saucer-Inspired Turntable Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oscar-olsson.md) - [Intergalactically Themed Fruit Snacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alien-encounters-fruit-rollups.md) - [Mushroom-Based Fruit Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mycoworks-fruit-bowl.md) - [Retro-Inspired Wave Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-wave-bowl.md) - [Dynamic Colored Glass Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tip-top-glass.md)
