I would always hope that my mom would drive me, or I would get a lift from a friend. But after seeing these pictures I have nothing to complain about, as these kids get to and from school with some flying fox commuting. Using a zipline, and traveling faster than 62 k/h with a harrowing 400 m drop below them, this is the only way for Columbia's most isolated kids to [get to school](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kipp-north-carolina-public-schools), with the [younger children](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vision-exam-pilot-program) being put into sacks for the journey across. At least they will polish up on their tight rope skills with this flying fox commuting. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Zip Line Commute:** Zip line transportation is becoming a feasible and innovative alternative in remote and hilly regions. - **School Transportation Innovation:** Innovative and safe school transportation is a need of the hour to make commuting easy and fun for children. - **Rope Access for Remote Areas:** Rope access can be used as an efficient means of transportation to access remote areas. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Adventure Tourism:** Zip line tourism presents an opportunity for businesses to explore adventure tourism and create thrilling experiences for tourists. - **Education:** The education industry can benefit from adopting innovative transportation methods to encourage more attendance and provide children with a safe and fun way to travel to school. - **Infrastructure:** Infrastructure and construction companies can leverage rope access technology to provide easy access to remote and difficult-to-reach areas. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cargo-Friendly Electric Quad Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zetmobil-lastenrad-modelle.md) - [Student-Focused Wheelchair-Accessible Vehicle Rides](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wheelchairaccessible-vehicle-rides.md) - [Elevating Skybridge Bus Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xferry-bus.md) - [Pedicab Shuttle Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/go-by-bike.md) - [Accessible Space Travel Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-elevator-concept.md) - [Youthfully Adventurous E-Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adventurous-ebike.md) - [Child-Toting Electric Trikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ouca-bikes.md) - [Collegiate-Focused Electric Bicycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/discover-1.md) - [Family-Friendly Cargo E-Trikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cargo-etrike.md)
