Taking the bodies of dead flies, he creates amusing scenarios that depict a humanistic world of flies doing everyday activities. From waiting in line for the bathroom to riding a horse, the [dead fly bodies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/funerary-urn), while morbid, are actually creatively witty. There's something to be said for the imaginative mind of 'Flychelangelo' when it comes to his [macabre fly art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deddy-bears). As with most [disturbing artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1), there's something captivating to the piece that keeps people scrolling through the many adventures that the flies go on. There's definitely a line when it comes to gruesome artwork, do you think the artist has crossed it here? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 98% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Humor](https://www.trendhunter.com/humor) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Fly Art:** Exploration into the creation and artistic value of using dead flies as the medium of art. - **Macabre Art:** The rise of dark humor in modern art with the use of unusual subject matter. - **Imaginative Art:** Intriguing art that is brought to life through the artist’s creative mind and attention to detail. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art & Design:** New genre of fly art could bring a unique and unconventional offering to the art world. - **Entertainment:** The use of macabre humor in entertainment, such as TV shows, movies and online content, could see an increase in popularity. - **Consumer Goods:** The creation of fly-themed merchandise, such as t-shirts, posters and stickers, could appeal to a niche market that appreciates this type of art. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Insect-Inspired Bronze Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/insect-bronze-sculptures.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Apocalypse Post Pandemic Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-urban-art.md) - [Humorous Macabre Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coffin-office-chair.md) - [Traveling Fine Art Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/get-out-there.md) - [Illusory Disconnected Component Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fly-armchair.md) - [Otherwordly Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/william-monk.md) - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Limited Humorous Art Prints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/david-shrigley-1.md)
