The white dish rack boasts a [sculptural aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inbetween-umbrella) that has two sections for greenery to be positioned with coconut fiber and clay pellets in the base to allow for root growth and water retention. Water that would drip off of plates after being washed could be held below to let the root system get just the right amount of hydration to support optimal growth, while also putting waste water to good use. The conceptual 'Fluidity' dish rack is the design work of Ekaterina Shchetina for DesignLibero and helps to make the most of small kitchen spaces for inhabitants to appreciate. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 77% | Activity: 61% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Multifunctional Decor Solutions:** The 'Fluidity' dish rack offers a multifunctional decor solution for the kitchen, combining practicality and aesthetics. - **Greenery Integration:** The integration of greenery into the dish rack allows for a natural and organic element to be added to the kitchen space. - **Sustainable Water Management:** The use of runoff water from washed dishes for hydration of the plants demonstrates the trend of sustainable water management. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** The 'Fluidity' dish rack presents an opportunity for home decor businesses to create innovative and functional pieces for kitchen spaces. - **Gardening:** The integration of greenery into dish racks opens up possibilities for gardening businesses to develop products that combine plant growth and practicality. - **Sustainable Living:** The sustainable water management feature of the 'Fluidity' dish rack provides an opportunity for businesses focused on sustainable living to create eco-friendly kitchen products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compact Portable Dish Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dish-rack-2.md) - [Rainwater Multifunctional Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/raindrop-1.md) - [Minimalist Gardener Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-cultivator.md) - [Naturalistic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apot-selfwatering-planter.md) - [Futuristic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-klaustrafloria.md) - [Vibrant Dynamic Wall Plant-Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floos.md) - [Mini Mess-Free Garden Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroponics-garden.md) - [Water Catch-Integrated Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hemisphere.md) - [Removable Plate Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gere-multifunctional-crockery-shelf.md)
