For those of you who are not familiar with the dombra, apparently the 'Flower of the Steppe' is shaped similar to it. A long-necked lute, which is a [musical instrument](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aa67-speaker).

Designed by [Studio Nicoletti](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/srivan), 'Flower of the Steppe' is the name of the [new Astana State Auditorium](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/centre-de-congrs) to be built in Kazakhstan (yes, Borat fans, Kazakhstan). Looking more like a landed glacier, it was actually inspired by the petals of a flower.
