# Flowing Headboard Illuminators 'Flowall Lights' Provide a Dazzling and Relaxing Show By Michael Hines | Published 2012-01-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flowall-lights References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2012/01/11/a-wave-of-lights/) & [red-dot.sg](http://www.red-dot.sg/concept/index.htm) The traditional [bedside nightlight](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wake-lamp) looks pretty shabby when compared to 'Flowall Lights.' The product was designed by Jiel Park (Songjae Park), and is meant to be [mounted above your bed](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-purifying-headboard). The lights rush back and forth across your headboard providing a [relaxing and dazzling light show](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ripple-light). Flowall Lights consist of many LED lights whose intensity can be turned up or down using a built-in control system. The design of the lights is unlike anything seen before, and it is for that reason (among others) that Park's design won a 2011 Red Dot Design award. While these lights are just a concept now, there is a large chance this product will go from concept to reality in the near future. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 64% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Flowing Headboard Lights:** A trend of incorporating flowing and dazzling lights into headboard designs. - **Personalized Bedside Lighting:** A trend of using adjustable LED lights for personalized lighting experiences in bedrooms. - **Interactive Light Installations:** A trend of creating interactive light installations for immersive and relaxing experiences. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** The furniture industry can explore incorporating Flowall Lights into innovative headboard designs. - **Lighting Technology:** The lighting industry can develop customizable LED lighting systems that offer adjustable intensity for personalized experiences. - **Hospitality and Entertainment:** The hospitality and entertainment industries can utilize interactive light installations to create immersive and relaxing environments for guests. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Built-In Sensor Smart Headboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dream-head.md) - [Dreamlike Bubble-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airshape-lamp.md) - [Astronaut Night Light Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/night-light-projectors.md) - [Minimal Wake-Aware Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wake-sleep-light.md) - [Sleep-Aiding Lava Lamp Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/epy.md) - [Spaced-Themed LED Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-room.md) - [Dazzling Gradient Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-bulb.md) - [Chic Saucer-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-in-tight-light-fixture.md) - [Rippling Aquatic Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pulse-lights.md)
