Whether that's a picnic that runs a little later than expected or a weekend camping trip, a versatile light is something that can always come in handy. The one Floris Schoonderbeek has designed can be used as a [simple lantern](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outask-td2) that sits upright or converted into a [helpful flashlight](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fl1-flashlight) when people are more mobile. Dubbed Guidelight, Floris Schoonderbeek designed the light for Weltevree. A very simple aesthetic, the bod lights up with it's being used as a lantern and the spherical head is where more directional light comes from. Whether setting more of a mood or used with roaming around, that sphere elevates the functionality of the Guidelight significantly. No longer will multiple lights be needed. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Versatile Lighting Solutions:** There is a growing demand for lighting solutions that can adapt to different outdoor scenarios, such as the Guidelight's ability to switch between a lantern and a flashlight. - **Simplification of Lighting Devices:** Consumers are seeking lighting devices that offer multiple functions in one, like the Guidelight's dual functionality as a lantern and a flashlight. - **Enhanced Outdoor Lighting Experience:** The Guidelight demonstrates the opportunity for innovative outdoor lighting products that improve the overall user experience by providing both ambient and directional lighting options. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Outdoor Recreation:** Outdoor recreation companies can explore new lighting products and accessories that enhance safety and convenience during outdoor adventures. - **Home and Décor:** Home and décor businesses can tap into the demand for versatile lighting solutions that can seamlessly transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. - **Camping and Hiking Gear:** Camping and hiking gear manufacturers can incorporate versatile lighting options like the Guidelight to provide users with practical and space-saving solutions while exploring the great outdoors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multipurpose Flashlight Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onurhan-demir.md) - [Outdoor Lantern Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camping-lantern-1.md) - [Miniature Camping Flashlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hoto-flashlight-duo.md) - [Stylish Outdoor Illumination Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-outdoor-lantern.md) - [Comforting Multifunctional Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buddy-portable-lamp.md) - [Multipurpose Camping Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camping-lights.md) - [Flexible Orientation Camper Flashlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flexit-pocket-light.md) - [Ultra-Flexible Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anywhereuse-lamp.md) - [Interchangeable Component Camping Flashlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecofriendly-camping-lantern.md)
