# DIY Floral Pendants These Designs from Sugar and Cloth Add Color to the Dining Experience By Jamie Danielle Munro | Published 2014-03-24 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floral-pendants References: [sugarandcloth](http://sugarandcloth.com/2014/03/diy-geometric-floral-pendants/) & [flowermuse](http://www.flowermuse.com/) Sugar and Cloth has designed a collection of beautiful floral pendants to be hung outside above a table to add atmosphere to those summer dinner parties. The designs do take some time to make, but the end result and adoring complements from guests make it completely worth it. The pendants have a square shape, and are covered with [various flowers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flower-preservation). They also come in both large and smaller shapes, so if you are someone who doesn't have too much time, the smaller designs could be the better option. Because the flowers make the entire setting that much more elegant, adding these floral pendants to a [bridal shower](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-crystal-floral-kits) would be perfect for that added touch to impress friends. Just make sure you don't make them too early otherwise the flowers might not last the week! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 20% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **DIY Floral Decor:** Creating DIY floral decor for events and parties is becoming a popular trend, as seen with Sugar and Cloth's floral pendants. - **Sustainable Floral Design:** As more people become eco-conscious, there is an opportunity to create sustainable floral designs for events and parties that reduce waste and environmental impact. - **Custom Floral Lighting:** There is an opportunity for custom floral lighting solutions, using modern materials and technologies to create unique and innovative designs for events and interiors. ### Who This Affects Most - **Event Planning:** Event planners can innovatively incorporate DIY floral decor into their events, considering the aesthetic appeal and sustainability of the floral designs. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can create unique and custom floral lighting solutions that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. - **Weddings and Bridal Showers:** Wedding planners can incorporate custom floral lighting solutions and eco-friendly floral designs into their events, providing a unique and memorable experience for their clients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Blooming Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloome.md) - [Mesmerizing Glass Pendants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-dew-pendant.md) - [Floral Lighting Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pivoine.md) - [Recycled Material Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zbozhzha-pendant-light.md) - [Plant-Inspired Dynamic Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blossom-chandelier.md) - [Encapsulated Semi-Transparent Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nested-pendant-light.md) - [Fishnet-Made Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-mycreation-droplet-lamp.md) - [Exquisite Textured Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pendant-lamp1.md) - [Bakery-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/croissant-pendant-light.md)
