# Floating Flower Vases Theses Floating Vases Create a Romantic Effect to Your Decor By Janelle Savel | Published 2014-01-23 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-vases References: [likecool](http://www.likecool.com/Floating_ripple_vases--Accessories--Home.html) & [woohome](http://www.woohome.com/home-office/vases-shaped-like-ripples-in-water) These darling floating flower vases, created in Japan by OoDesign, make a ripple-like effect. Simply place a stem inside the vase and let it gently float on top of the water. The vase is intended for smaller stemmed flowers and can be clustered together or own their own. Both ways create a dreamlike effect in the water like ripples in the water after a rainstorm. Place vases in a clear glass or bowl for a simplistic minimal addition to your living space decor; depending on the size of the bowl and the environment, the vases will gently float and move around. The vases are ideal for daisies, babies breath and small twig-like stems, or opt for fake flowers for more variety and color to witness longer enjoyment and pleasure with these floating vases. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Romantic Floating Vases:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Explore new ways to create romantic and dreamlike effects in home decor with floating vases. - **Minimalistic Water Decor:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Develop innovative designs and products that blend minimalism and water decor. - **Alternative Floral Display:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Create alternative ways to display flowers using floating vases for a unique and eye-catching effect. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Introduce floating vases as a standout product in the home decor industry to offer consumers a new and captivating option for flower arrangements. - **Event Planning:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Incorporate floating vases into event designs for weddings and other special occasions, providing a visually stunning and memorable floral display. - **Floral Design:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Collaborate with floral designers to create new and imaginative floral arrangements using floating vases as a centerpiece or focal point. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Illusory Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vaso-gota-vase.md) - [Miniature Cylindrical Flower Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hanakubari.md) - [Delicate Colorful Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-colorful-vase.md) - [Chandelier-Shaped Self-Watering Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/selfwatering-vase.md) - [Playful Packaging-Inspired Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/strawberry-milk-vase.md) - [Ocean-Inspired Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-coralshaped-vase.md) - [Jewelry-Holding Flower Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirror-vase-stand.md) - [Personalized Floral Grid Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-vase.md) - [Puddle-Imitating Minimal Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puddle-series.md)
