It is unusual for sinks to provide exceptional designs in bathrooms or kitchens, but the 'Motif' manages to do just that. The bathroom sink is white and circular with a transparent base that features a [floral or graphic pattern](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pearlized) depending on what the customer prefers. The sink floats atop the counter and is only connected through the drain in the middle and when water fills it, it reflects its patterns onto the counter it floats on top of. This delicate floating sink would make an excellent addition to [modern bathrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soaking-tub) that may require unique, feminine decorations that are likely to impress. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 89% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Exceptional Sink Designs:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to create sinks that provide exceptional and unique designs for bathrooms and kitchens. - **Reflection-based Décor:** The concept of using reflections to create patterns and designs in décor items presents a disruptive innovation opportunity in the interior design industry. - **Transparent Base Design:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity in creating bathroom sinks with transparent bases that can be customized with different patterns or graphics. ### Where This Applies - **Bathroom Fixtures:** The bathroom fixtures industry has an opportunity to create innovative and visually appealing sinks with unique design elements. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can leverage the concept of reflection-based décor to create innovative and captivating design elements for homes and commercial spaces. - **Customized Home Décor:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity in the home décor industry to offer customizable items, such as bathroom sinks, that reflect unique patterns or graphics. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Collaborative Seashell-Like Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spire-washbasin.md) - [Dynamic Marble Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinito.md) - [Slick Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slick-bathroom-sink.md) - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Angular Ceramic Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angle-washbasin.md) - [Textural Bathroom Sink Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washbasin-collection.md) - [Water Flow-Inspired Kiln Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volta-collection.md) - [Reinventive Modern Kitchen Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-kitchen.md) - [Electric Kiln-Made Unique Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volta-1.md)
