He has now introduced a new series of work that showcases his collision of suspended objects photographed in mid-air. These images are usually taken outdoors in low-lighting areas with no sun to focus on the suspended objects. Some of the materials he uses in these images are glows ticks, neon paper post-it notes, plates, marshmallows and cups. They are regular objects hovered in place to create a floating effect as they are thrown in action. Thomas Jackson illustrates a [powerful illusion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ripples-collection) that captures moving objects in real time. Floating photography has definitely become an interesting artistic technique that Jackson can intentionally display in many of his works today. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 59% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Multimedia](https://www.trendhunter.com/multimedia) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Floating-photography:** The emergence of floating photography as an innovative and captivating artistic technique. - **Suspension-collision:** The introduction of suspension collision as a new and unique form of floating photography. - **Outdoor-low-light-photography:** The increasing use of outdoor low-lighting photography to showcase suspended objects in floating photography. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Photography:** The use of floating photography and suspension collision as a disruptive innovation in the art and photography industries. - **Marketing and Advertising:** The implementation of floating photography and suspension collision in marketing and advertising strategies as a way to capture the attention of an audience. - **Product Design and Packaging:** The integration of floating photography and suspension collision in product design and packaging to showcase the suspended objects and create a unique and captivating visual experience for consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Physics-Informed Digital Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motion-sculpture.md) - [Dynamic Moving-Illusion Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moving-furniture.md) - [Artful Suspended Fashion Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/invisible-figures.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [Illuminated Curtained Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/making-the-invisible-visible.md) - [Tree Branch-Formed Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celestial-attraction.md) - [Blurry Abstract Photography Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optical-allusion.md) - [Fluid Function Art Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optical-flow.md) - [Shadow-Inspired Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightware-series.md)
