The floating home system has been in focus for modern architects who are either creating luxurious getaways or looking for ways to promote more secure housing for individuals who live in areas with raising sea levels. [MAST](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mast), a Danish maritime architecture studio, recently debuted an innovative flat-pack system for building floating homes that certainly has important implications for the latter mission. Titled 'Land on Water,' the [flat-pack floating home system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blatto-boat) aims to improve the flexibility, accessibility, and sustainability of constructing these homes. The flat-pack format makes the system easily configurable and transportable.

MAST's system includes various [modular containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-bv-system) that are made from recycled reinforced plastic. This design was informed by the support of "construction industry magnate Hubert Rhomberg and venture studio Fragile."
