The remote comes in the form of a flat, circular [stone-like device](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smooth-mouse-concept) that has two different-colored sides. One side is used to control volume, while the other side allows users to move through their playlists. Rather than featuring buttons, the device can be rotated in order to raise or lower the volume of music, while its other side can be rotated to skip playlists and songs, with a light press in the middle functioning as the Flipp remote's "play" button. The minimalist Flipp remote comes in a range of colors, ensuring that it offers designs that suits everyone's aesthetic tastes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.5/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Button-free Remotes:** The Flipp remote's innovative design eliminates the need for traditional buttons, opening up possibilities for new remote control designs. - **Wireless Music Control:** The Flipp remote's wireless connection to music streaming services revolutionizes the way users interact with their music devices. - **Minimalist Design:** The Flipp remote's sleek and minimalist design sets a new standard for remote controls, inspiring new design trends in the industry. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Entertainment:** The Flipp remote's button-free design disrupts the traditional remote control market and offers opportunities for innovation in home entertainment systems. - **Smart Home Technology:** The wireless capabilities of the Flipp remote give rise to new possibilities for integrating music control into smart homes, opening up opportunities for disruption within the industry. - **Consumer Electronics:** The minimalist design and wireless connectivity of the Flipp remote presents opportunities for disruptive innovation in the consumer electronics industry, particularly in audio and music devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Intuitive Touchscreen Remote Controls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touchsense-remote.md) - [Circular Streaming Service Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spotify-home-thing.md) - [T-Shaped Remote Controls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sightless-remote-control.md) - [Wearable Athlete Smartphone Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/easy-control-wearable-remote.md) - [Stylish Voice-Powered Remotes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wiim-voice-remote-2.md) - [Physical Smart Home Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flic-twist.md) - [Unified Audio Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ljud.md) - [Ergonomic Sleek Remote Controls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pebble-remote.md) - [Wearable Gesture Control Remotes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/universal-wearable-controller.md)
