Artist David Bowen wanted to know what flies on the Internet would have to say for themselves so he set up a [large fly colony](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pelsis) with a keyboard connected up to the [Twitter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-art-of-trending) account @flycolony.

Apparently they have plenty to buzz about because the tweets get updated constantly and the account has over 3,500 followers who enjoy interacting with the insect world. Every time a fly lands on a letter or symbol, it is recorded and then published whenever 140 characters are reached or the 'ENTER' button gets hit.

Hooked up to such a massive media outlet, this [art project](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-pulses) exists far beyond the room in which the colony is located. Anyone with Twitter can follow these flies on the Internet.
