With just a simple sheet of [thin steel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldseat) you can create a stool, a chair, a footrest or a system solely for storage. Available in several colors with the option of covering it with any sort of fabric or material, Flex by Ak47 is flexible in form, function and facade. Stack magazines, books, firewood, cushions, pets or anything you feel comfortable sitting on, and then you'll have a clever clutter-stockpiling seat. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 76% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Multifunctional Furniture:** There is an opportunity to create furniture that can serve multiple purposes and save space. - **Flexible Design:** Designing products that are flexible in terms of form, function and facade is a way to add value and convenience to consumers. - **Customizable Furniture:** There is a demand for furniture that can be customized to fit individual preferences and styles. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture:** Innovative furniture designs that can be multifunctional, flexible and customizable appeal to customers who value space-saving and convenience. - **Home Decor:** Products that can be used for both storage and seating, while also being aesthetically pleasing, offer a disruptive innovation opportunity in the home decor industry. - **Woodworking:** By incorporating flexible design features, woodworking companies can create unique and functional pieces that stand out in the market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Simple Multifunctional Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chairpf.md) - [Modular Upholstered Bright Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flipster.md) - [Dual-Function Seating Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rubik-stool.md) - [Sustainable Space-Saving Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-flex-perch-stool.md) - [Adventurous Versatile Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flipster-seat.md) - [Storage-Friendly Origami Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-kerf.md) - [Multi-Modal Folding Stoves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-stove.md) - [Leather Strap Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stacked-bench.md) - [Multifunctional Modern Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/florian.md)
