Australian distiller Four Pillars released a [uniquely flavored gin spirit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ginuary) that's made with a combination of its [Rare Dry Gin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/willoe-gin) and Yarra Valley Shiraz grapes from local vineyards. According to Four Pillars, Bloody Shiraz Gin is "comparable to traditional sloe gin but with a few notable Aussie differences." The product boasts an ABV of 37.8% and is unfiltered and unfined, which only adds interest to the flavor profile of the finished spirit.

Some of the key notes of the gin spirit are juniper, [white pepper, dark berries and spices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ukiyo-yuzu-gin). As well as having a well-balanced taste that's sweet with tannins at the finish that likens it to red wine, the unconventional gin spirit boasts a distinctly deep color to match.
