Though a quick [YouTube](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xmen-97-fireside) search will actually yield several results of everyone's favorite decorative sky bound explosives being played back in reverse, its grand debut happened with a [fireworks display](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/festive-foil) in Melbourne, Australia. Reverse fireworks give a great spin on a staple that, though beautiful, has gotten pretty repetitive over the years. With this in mind, any change to your average exploding firework is welcome -- and what better year to debut it than the year the world survived alleged apocalypse? 2012 may be over, but seriously, what better way to kick off 2013 by looking backwards at an incredible New Year's celebration? Literally. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Special](https://www.trendhunter.com/special) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Reverse Fireworks:** Expanding the traditional concept of fireworks by displaying them in reverse, giving a new and mind-blowing experience. - **Creative New Year's Celebrations:** Finding unique and unexpected ways to celebrate New Year's, such as reverse fireworks, to create memorable experiences for audiences. - **Innovative Event Displays:** Pushing the boundaries of traditional event displays by incorporating new technologies and concepts, like reverse fireworks, to captivate and engage viewers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Entertainment:** Creating innovative and exciting experiences for audiences during live events, such as reverse fireworks displays. - **Event Planning:** Providing unique and memorable event ideas, like reverse fireworks, to differentiate and add value to clients' celebrations. - **Tourism and Destination Marketing:** Using unique attractions and experiences, such as reverse fireworks, to draw visitors and tourists to a specific location or event. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dragon-Themed Drone Light Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legend-of-the-dragon-gate.md) - [New Year’s Eve Celebrations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rooftop-at-exchange-place.md) - [Artificial Meteor Shower Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meteor-shower-display.md) - [Festive Light Painting Techniques](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-painting-1.md) - [Drone-Created Gingerbread Light Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingerbread-village-in-the-sky.md) - [Eclipse-Themed Rooftop Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-zero.md) - [Extravagant New Year's Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/w-toronto-new-years.md) - [Alcoholic New Year's Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fireball.md) - [Large-Scale Drone Lightshows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drone-lightshow.md)
