These [street art installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/art-by-squares) can be found in South-East Australia. Some of these pieces take up both walls and sidewalks, which kind of allows passersby to step into these artworks. Magee's most recent murals are all surreal, and focus on living creatures, from people to trees. One of these [peculiar pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-week-at-the-knees) features a family wearing boxes over their heads. One of these boxed up characters tries to float away while holding a bunch of balloons. Two of these murals are particularly intriguing, portraying professionals in unusual situations. One features an astronaut floating helplessly in water, and another features a lifeguard tangled up in a snake-like floatation device. These bizarre [murals are bright](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cushelle), and extremely eye-catching. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Surreal Street Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the use of surreal elements in street art to create captivating and thought-provoking installations. - **Immersive Art Experiences:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create immersive art experiences that allow viewers to step into the artwork and interact with it. - **Unconventional Professional Imagery:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Challenge traditional portrayals of professionals by depicting them in unusual and unexpected situations. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate surreal elements into various art forms to create unique and attention-grabbing pieces. - **Tourism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop art tours and experiences centered around surreal murals to attract tourists and create memorable experiences. - **Advertising:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate surreal street art into advertising campaigns to capture attention and create memorable brand associations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tree-Integrated Mysterious Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tree-mural.md) - [Otherwordly Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/william-monk.md) - [Inflatable Vibrant Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-dancer.md) - [Vibrant City Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/craig-karl2.md) - [Distorted Furniture Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/first-kiss-at-last-light.md) - [Striking Urban Wildlife Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clare-allin.md) - [Spiky Inflatable Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inflatable-sculptures1.md) - [Apocalypse Post Pandemic Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-urban-art.md) - [AI-Generated Real-World Transformations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-generated-world.md)
