# Pointing Page Savers The Fingerprint Bookmark Indicates the Precise Line Where You Stopped Reading By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-09-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fingerprint-bookmark References: [likecool](http://www.likecool.com/FingerPrint_bookmark--Tools--Gear.html) & [fredandfriends](http://fredandfriends.com/products/view/fingerprint-bookmarks) Let's say that you're reading one of those can't-put-it-down novels and something really important has come up. When you do get back to that exciting bit in your book, wouldn't it be nice not to waste time trying to figure out where precisely you left off on that final page? The Fingerprint Bookmark includes a small hand-shaped indicator that you can point to the exact last line that you read. Dreamed up by 25 To Go Design and sold by [Fred & Friends](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chomp), this [page marker](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/easymark1) is a band that wraps around half of your hardcover or [paperback](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/penguin-x-moebe-book-stand) and it will not be dislodged. If you're reading outdoors, the elastic silicone rubber material of the Fingerprint Bookmark will keep leaves tightly together to protect them from the wind. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.5/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Fingerprint Bookmark:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a digital version of the Fingerprint Bookmark that syncs with e-books and audiobooks, allowing users to easily keep track of their progress. - **Elastic Silicone Rubber Material:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore applications of the elastic silicone rubber material in other industries such as fashion, medical devices, or automotive to create flexible and durable products. - **Pointing Page Savers:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create an AI-powered bookmark that can analyze reading habits and offer personalized suggestions or reminders based on the user's progress. ### Who This Affects Most - **Book Publishing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with book publishers to integrate Fingerprint Bookmarks as a value-added feature in their physical copies, enhancing the reading experience. - **Stationery and Office Supplies:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a range of innovative bookmark designs using the Fingerprint Bookmark concept to cater to different customer preferences and enhance product offerings. - **Digital Reading Platforms:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Partner with digital reading platforms to incorporate Fingerprint Bookmark functionalities into their apps, providing a seamless reading experience across devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Reading Book Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/penguin-x-moebe.md) - [Personality-Forward Bookmark Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humdrum-paper.md) - [Convenient Book Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/android-book-light.md) - [Reading Comprehension Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fingerfocus-highlighter-followalong-friends.md) - [Minimally Engineered Bookends](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firm-book-end.md) - [Hands-Free Page Turners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/s30-remote.md) - [Highlighter-Inspired Reading Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-highlighter.md) - [Cheekily Creative Bookmarks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illustrated-bookmarks.md) - [Folded Page Readers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dualscreen-ereader.md)
