A Final Fantasy snow sculpture has debuted as the main centerpiece at Japan's annual Sapporo Snow Festival. The impressive sculpture stands 49.2-feet tall and features a design inspired by the classic fourteenth iteration in videogame series. Carved into the snow is a fierce dragon facing off against and armored Dragoon warrior. The sculpture is accompanied by a projection map of the game's world and audio playing the iconic Final Fantasy music.

The impressive Final Fantasy snow sculpture was built with assistance from the [Japanese Ground Self Defense Forces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sora-q) 11th Artillery Unit, and is currently on display in the festival center at Odori Park. [Final Fantasy XIV producer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/final-fantasy-vii-remake-x-avirex) Naoki Yoshida debuted the sculpture during the festival's opening ceremony. This is the second consecutive year there has been a Final Fantasy instillation at the festival as a [Final Fantasy VII display](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/final-fantasy-vii-rebirth-pc) was show last year.
