The kettle makes use of [ultraviolet sterilization technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ladislamp-disinfection) to go about purifying water and making it taste more palatable. With a capacity of 1.5 liters, the Super Filter Kettle has a substantial size, so you don't need to go about constantly refilling it over the course of your day. It is set to be made available for a price of $38, a small price to pay when you consider the importance of hydrating with clean and sterile water. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/kitchen) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Ultraviolet Water Purification:** The trend of using ultraviolet sterilization technology in water purification devices opens opportunities for disruptive innovation in the field of clean water technology. - **Diversification of Electronics Companies:** The trend of electronics companies diversifying their product portfolios, like Xiaomi's expansion into water purification devices, presents disruptive innovation opportunities in various industries. - **Convenient and Efficient Water Filtering:** The trend of developing water filtering devices with larger capacities, like Xiaomi's Super Filter Kettle, provides disruptive innovation opportunities for creating more convenient and efficient ways of accessing clean water. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Water Purification Technology:** The water purification technology industry can explore incorporating ultraviolet sterilization technology to create more effective and advanced purification devices. - **Electronics Manufacturing:** The electronics manufacturing industry can seize the opportunity to diversify their product offerings by venturing into other sectors, such as water filtration devices, to meet consumer demands. - **Home Appliance Retail:** The home appliance retail industry can benefit from the demand for convenient and efficient water filtering devices like Xiaomi's Super Filter Kettle, by offering a wider range of innovative and high-capacity products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bacteria-Killing Water Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uvc-selfcleaning-water-bottle.md) - [Dual-Core Water Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dualcore-water-purifiers.md) - [App-Enabled Water Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instant-hot-water-dispenser.md) - [High-Speed Water Filters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-water-filter-pitcher.md) - [Slick Tech-Advanced Minimalist Kettles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-electric-kettle.md) - [Powered Pitcher-Style Water Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piurify-alchemy.md) - [Swedish-Engineered Water Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aarke-purifier.md) - [Modern Electric Kettles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gooseneck-kettles.md) - [Adjustable Temperature Kettles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/o-kettle.md)
