# Footwear Filing Cabinets Pedro Gomes' FILE IT Brings Order to the Shoe Closet By Michael Hines | Published 2011-01-14 | Fashion Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/file-it References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/FILE-IT-Shoes-Organizer/879218) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/pedrogomes) I can think of one household (mine) where the FILE IT desperately needed. Pedro Gomes’ FILE IT is a [filing system for shoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/el-departamento), designed to help clear up the clutter and confusion that is the [shoe closet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/comodo). Each folder holds up to two [pairs of shoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/commbi) at once and can be labeled for added convenience. Being able to find all of my shoes in one place would be incredibly convenient. I need FILE IT to go from concept to reality ASAP! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/fashion) > [Shoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/shoes) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Shoe Organization Systems:** The popularity of the FILE IT shoe filing system demonstrates a need and significant opportunity for innovative shoe organization solutions. - **Labeling and Tagging Tools:** The ability to label and tag items for easy identification and organization has potential for disruptive innovation in many industries. - **Space-saving Storage Solutions:** The compact design of the FILE IT shoe filing system presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in space-saving storage solutions. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Storage and Organization:** The FILE IT shoe filing system fits within the home storage and organization industry and can potentially disrupt the way consumers think about organizing their belongings. - **Retail and E-commerce:** Retailers and e-commerce businesses can potentially innovate by offering shoe organization solutions that are convenient and easy-to-use like the FILE IT system. - **Office Storage and Organization:** The labeling and tagging tools used in the FILE IT filing system can inspire innovative solutions for office storage and organization. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimal Shoe Rack Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tokyo-shoe-rack.md) - [Envelope-Style Shoe Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shoe-storage-rack.md) - [Chic Shoe Care Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shoe-styler.md) - [Convenience-Focused Rotating Shoe Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotating-shoe-rack.md) - [Sanitizing Shoe Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rootsense.md) - [Hygienic Shoe Care Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-styler-shoecare-and-shoecase.md) - [Stylish Multi-Use Entryway Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/entryway-shoe-rack.md) - [Adaptable Organizer Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-square-organizer.md) - [Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet.md)
