It is based on the Filante SLR, a race bike used by the WorldTour team Astana Qazaqstan and the sprinter Mark Cavendish. The Filante SLR Hybrid features the same aero-optimized frame and fork as the Filante SLR, but with a hidden electric assist system that adds minimal weight and bulk. The bike has generous tire clearances, disc brakes, and an integrated cockpit with a wireless controller for the motor. The electric assist system consists of the [Mahle X20](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dynamica) hub motor, which weighs only 1,339g and delivers 250W of power and 55Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a 236Wh internal battery, which is smaller than some competitors but still offers a decent range potential.
