# Vintage-Inspired Electric Vehicles The Conceptual Fiat 126 Vision Calls to Mind a Classic Car By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2020-10-13 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fiat-126-vision References: [yankodesign](https://www.yankodesign.com/2020/10/13/the-fiat-126-reimagined-as-an-all-electric-vehicle-evokes-nostalgia-through-its-modern-design/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+yankodesign+%28Yanko+Design+-+Form+Beyond+Function%29) & [ma-de-studio](http://www.ma-de-studio.com/) The conceptual [Fiat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/megapanda) 126 Vision seen here has been designed by the MA-DE Studio as an ultra-modern eco transportation solution that draws inspiration from a classic vehicle of the past. The vehicle is characterized by its [boxy aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dacia-hipster) that calls to mind the classic original from 1972, but features a somewhat sculpted design that further refines the various angles. The all-electric vehicle maintains the same charm and is thus a less modern model when compared to other eco-friendly cars out there to make the transition from petrol-powered to emissions-free less daunting. The conceptual Fiat 126 Vision was explained further by co-founder of the Italy-based design studio Andrea Della Vecchia who said, "With this 126 Vision, we have decided to preserve, adopting a new interpretation, the contour and some unmistakable stylistic elements, such as the roof tapered at the rear and the squared headlights dominated by the character line that surrounds the vehicle." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 99% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Vintage-inspired Electric Vehicles:** Designing electric vehicles with a vintage aesthetic offers a unique and nostalgic experience for consumers. - **Eco Transportation Solutions:** Creating eco-friendly transportation options that are both stylish and sustainable is a growing trend in the automotive industry. - **Transition to Emissions-free Cars:** Developing vehicles that help consumers easily transition from petrol-powered to emissions-free cars is a crucial trend for a more sustainable future. ### Who This Affects Most - **Automotive:** The automotive industry has the opportunity to create vintage-inspired electric vehicles that cater to consumers looking for a unique driving experience. - **Design:** The design industry can contribute to the development of eco transportation solutions by combining modern features with vintage aesthetics. - **Technology:** The technology industry could innovate in the transition to emissions-free cars by creating advanced powertrain systems and charging infrastructure. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Panda-Inspired Retro Car Conepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/megapanda.md) - [Bright Miniature Electric Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/topolino-ev.md) - [Rattan Detailed Custom Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fiat-500-spiaggina.md) - [80s-Inspired Experimental Electric Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/favorit-ev.md) - [Retro-Inspired Electric Vehicle Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/makkina-triumph-tr25.md) - [80s-Inspired Electric Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delorean-e.md) - [Electric Aerodynamic Vehicle Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tatra-77-concept.md) - [Italian Architecture-Inspired EVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lancia-pura-hpe.md) - [Electric Mini Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2cv.md)
