The Feminist Mad Max [tumblr site](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tumblr-campaign) plays with a [popular meme](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/matrix-x-little-miss-holiday) in all the right ways. Ryan Gosling is taking a much-needed time out from being all 'Hey Girl' in order for Mad Max, played by Tom Hardy, to take up the reins in a way that is even more powerful (albeit hilarious). Although his character has survived quite a bit in the desolate desert, it's the women that save the day in the end.

From being better shots and drivers to taking out the boss, the Feminist Mad Max memes pair Hardy's beseeching and often confused gaze with requests that put the female characters on a high pedestal. Charlize Theron is bound to love the images.
