When displayed in a cluster, the pieces mimic small cities and neighbourhoods and are a charming addition to children’s rooms and cozy living spaces. The handmade items are sewn using white wool felt materials and stiffened to hold their shape. Ensuring safety, the home accessories are also equipped with a [battery-operated and flameless tealight](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/decoration-light) that emits a warm and pleasant glow. Each 3-piece felt house from Etsy’s Hunky Dorky shop is custom-made and delivered from Houston, Texas. Stiffness of items varies so a desired stiffness can be requested before the pieces are made and shipped out by the shop’s owners. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.8/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Miniature House Designs:** Creating miniature house designs is a trend that offers opportunities for innovative home decor products. - **Cluster Display:** The trend of clustering decorative items like these felt house luminaries presents opportunities for creating unique and visually appealing home decor arrangements. - **Battery-operated Tealights:** The use of battery-operated and flameless tealights is a trend that allows for safe and convenient lighting solutions in home decor products. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can tap into the trend of creating miniature house designs and cluster displays to offer innovative and charming products for children's rooms and cozy living spaces. - **Crafts:** The crafts industry can explore the trend of creating custom-made felt house luminaries and capitalize on the demand for unique and handmade home accessories. - **Lighting:** The lighting industry can leverage the trend of battery-operated tealights to develop innovative and safe lighting solutions for various applications, including home decor. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Naturalistic Handmade Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/honey-lamp-collection.md) - [Artistic Shadow Play Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frero-tala-asa.md) - [Organic Paper-Like Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/farolito.md) - [Adorable Cartoon Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightweight-and-adorable.md) - [Solar-Powered Floral Garden Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solar-tree-house.md) - [Mid-Century-Inspired Paper House Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-christmas-ornament.md) - [Sparkling Illuminated Festive Wreaths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starry-wreath.md) - [Sculpted Holiday Candles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pastel-palette.md) - [Festive Winter-Themed Candles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/homesick-holiday-candle.md)
