# Badass Office Supplies The Fellowes 79ci Shredder Rips Through Almost Anything By Sarah Moore | Published 2012-03-25 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fellowes-79ci-shredder References: [chrisbrogan](http://www.chrisbrogan.com/shredder) & [fellowes](http://www.fellowes.com/us/en/Products/Pages/product-details.aspx?prod=US-3227901) Paper shearing devices are not normally something that excites people, but the Fellowes 79Ci shredder is the cream of the crop when it comes to tough-as-nails office supplies that get things done. Most paper shredders are loud, noisy and jam easily, but the Fellowes version does not mess around when it comes to silently and efficiently shredding the snot out of anything thrown into it. The device can rip apart multiple pages at a time, including ones wrapped in plastic wrap: a function that will save people a great deal of precious time and allow them to get the tedious job of destroying documents done quickly. Almost anything can be torn apart in the Fellowes 79Ci shredder, from CDs to pop-cans, and while one really has no reason to shred those types of objects, it's always nice to know that it could be done should the need randomly arise. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Efficient Shredding:** The Fellowes 79Ci shredder offers a silent and efficient shredding experience, enhancing productivity in shredding tasks. - **Multi-function Shredding:** The Fellowes 79Ci shredder can shred a wide range of materials, including CDs and pop-cans, providing versatile shredding capabilities. - **Time-saving Shredding:** The Fellowes 79Ci shredder allows for shredding multiple pages at once, saving precious time and streamlining document destruction. ### Where This Applies - **Office Supplies:** The Fellowes 79Ci shredder revolutionizes the office supplies industry by offering a high-performance shredding machine. - **Document Destruction:** The Fellowes 79Ci shredder disrupts the document destruction industry with its ability to efficiently shred a wide variety of materials. - **Productivity Tools:** The Fellowes 79Ci shredder serves as a disruptive innovation in the productivity tools industry by providing efficient and time-saving shredding capabilities. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Industrial Cutting Power Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/worx-zipsnip-cutting-tool.md) - [Cable-Free Ultrasonic Cutters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultrasonic-cutter.md) - [Durably Designed Box Cutters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-box-opener.md) - [Powerful Can-Crushing Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/can-crusher.md) - [Electric Food Recyclers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foodcycler-eco-3.md) - [Powerful Home Coffee Grinders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-coffee-grinder.md) - [Advanced Modular Multi-Tool Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flex-shears.md) - [Dumpster Pencil Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dumpstuder-pencil-holders.md) - [Coin-Style Disc Shaped Cutters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quarter-ccutter.md)
