The mat works by incorporating a shag carpet-like design that enables kibbles to be hidden throughout in order to have dogs sniff around for individual pieces rather than simply eat directly from a full bowl. The 'Wooly Snuffle' Foraging and Feeding Mat stimulates a dogs instinctual urge to forage for their food to help slow them down rather than have them gorge when it's dinnertime. The mat is ideal for dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds, and is also easy to clean by boasting a machine washable design to ensure quick cleaning. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 78% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Pet Foraging Mats:** There is potential to develop different types of foraging mats for other animals such as cats and ferrets. - **Interactive Pet Feeding:** There is an opportunity to create interactive feeding products that can offer mental stimulation for pets. - **Sensory Pet Toys:** The notion of stimulating pet senses can be extended to toys and accessories that can enhance an animal’s curiosity and enjoyment. ### Who This Affects Most - **Pet Food and Accessories:** Companies that create and/or sell pet food and accessories can consider introducing stimulating feeding mats to their product lines. - **Pet Training and Wellness:** Pet training and wellness centers could consider incorporating stimulating feeding mats in their services as a way to improve pet well-being. - **Pet Technology:** Companies that develop pet technology can create smart feeding mats that can track and record a pet’s feeding and activity patterns. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Instinct-Stimulating Dog Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flevo-bowly.md) - [Interactive Canine Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-canine-toy.md) - [Dog Enrichment Activities](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brightkins.md) - [Modern Slow Dog Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slow-feeder.md) - [Interactive Dog Feeder Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cono-activity-toy.md) - [Stylish Slow Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slow-feeders.md) - [Brainteasing Dog Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kanoodle-dog-edition.md) - [Sushi-Themed Pet Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sushi-feeder-tray.md) - [Innovative Pet Feeding Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trot-pets-1.md)
