The Ebano collection by designer Marco Pisati, for the Italian Il Bagno Bandini, is in fact sculpted from stone and not wood, as I found cited elsewhere on the web. The stone is called Rainwood stone and as the Bandini site reveals Ebano is, “a washbasin with linear and squared external forms; internally the soft curvature of the hole is designed to enhance the wonderful vein of the stone that recalls for colour and form the essence of wood.” The Ebano collection consists of fabulously modern [sinks, shower bases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volta-collection) and if you can imagine a [solid Rainwood stone tub](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soaking-tub). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Contemporary Washbasins:** Opportunity for innovative materials and designs in the washbasin industry. - **Faux Wood Design:** Potential for creating products that mimic the appearance of wood using different materials. - **Stone Sculpted Sinks:** Exploration of stone as a unique and luxurious material for sink design. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Bathroom Fixtures:** Innovations in sink, shower, and tub designs to enhance modern bathroom spaces. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity to incorporate faux wood designs in various home decor products. - **Luxury Furniture:** Integration of stone sculpted sinks into high-end furniture pieces for a unique aesthetic. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Marble Slab Washbasins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piano-washbasin.md) - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Playful Concrete Wash Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kast-wave-collection.md) - [Illuminated Base Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antoniolupi-albumelux.md) - [Dynamic Marble Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinito.md) - [Slick Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slick-bathroom-sink.md) - [Hardwood Based Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beam-bathtub.md) - [Artful Artisanal Marble Basins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handchiseled-marble-basin.md) - [Angular Ceramic Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angle-washbasin.md)
