Coming with everything you'll need to get started, the kit has a [quadcopter drone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-neo), a headset, controller and more to ensure that you're able to get started without feeling overwhelmed. This comes as a more cost-effective way to get involved with [drone racing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/codrone-edu) rather than spending big bucks for higher end gear that might be too advanced to use. The Fat Shark 101 kit also provides access to the Drone Racing League Simulator as well as a three month membership to the [Academy of Model Aeronautics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Academy-Sports) (AMA), which also includes insurance for the drone. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/robots) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **First-person View (FPV) Drone Flying:** Opportunity to develop innovative training systems and technologies that simulate the experience of flying a drone from a first-person perspective. - **Cost-effective Drone Racing:** Opportunity to create affordable and accessible drone racing kits for beginners, lowering the barrier to entry for this exciting sport. - **Integration of Simulators and Memberships:** Opportunity to combine drone racing simulators and membership benefits to enhance the learning experience and provide added value to users. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Drone Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to manufacture beginner-friendly FPV drones that are included in racing kits, attracting a wider customer base. - **Gaming and Virtual Reality:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to develop advanced drone racing simulators that provide a realistic first-person view experience for training purposes. - **Insurance and Risk Management:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to offer specialized insurance coverage for drone racing, providing protection for both recreational and professional drone pilots. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Micro Fpv Drone Kit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pavo-femto.md) - [Immersive FPV Drone Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-avata-2.md) - [Classroom-Ready Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/programmable-education-drone.md) - [Gaming-Style Drone Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orqa-fpvctrl.md) - [Wireless Drone Control Headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-goggles-integra.md) - [Drone-Themed Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drone-themed-bed.md) - [Hybrid Racing Camera Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-fpv2.md) - [Cinewhoop-Style Camera Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-avata.md) - [Wearable Drone Controller Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drone-controller-concept.md)
