# Flower-Covered Cars Floral Fiat 500s for Fashion Week By Cowbag | Published 2008-09-04 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fashion-flower-cars-police-ban-flower-cars-from-road References: [dezeen](http://www.dezeen.com/2008/04/19/flower-cars-in-milan/#more-11689) For Milan Fashion Week 2008, the [Flower Council of Holland](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cj-hendrys-flower-market) commissioned designers Arne Quinze, [Studio Job](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cecil-wright), Arik Levy, Karim Rashid and Fredrikson Stallard to make real floral corsages for a fleet of Fiat 500’s. The fleet of ‘flower cars’ would then will be offering rides around Zona Tortona. The flowers looked amazing on the cars but not all went smoothly; the police banned the cars from driving around. A spokesman for the [Dutch Flower Council](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/passenger-princess-day), said, “It’s a shame that we’ve been grounded, but even if the cars don’t move, they’re still fantastic to look at – it’s not every day you get the chance to see a Fiat 500 covered in 1,000 pink chrysanthemums.” Well yes you can - Cow got there first with the awesome yellow Chevrolet pictures, over two years ago. Maybe there really is no such thing as a new idea? These images show how fantastic the cars looked, it is just a real shame (for them) that they could not have driven about. If they could have, it would have brought this stunt to life rather than just being another photo story. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Flower-covered Vehicles:** There is an opportunity to explore the use of real floral decorations on vehicles for promotional events, weddings or other special occasions. - **Eco-friendly Car Decorations:** Eco-friendly decorations such as plant-based materials or reusable floral arrangements can reduce waste in the event decoration industry. - **Temporary Advertising Displays:** Using temporary floral decorations for vehicles can be a unique way to advertise businesses, products or events. ### Who This Affects Most - **Event Decoration:** Event decoration industry can explore the use of floral decorations on vehicles for special occasions. - **Automotive:** Automotive industry can explore the use of plant-based materials or other eco-friendly decorations for cars. - **Advertising:** Advertising industry can explore the use of temporary floral decorations on vehicles as a unique way to promote products, businesses or events. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artistically Rendered One-Of-A-Kind Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/romero-britto.md) - [Fashion Designer City Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fiat-500e-x-giorgio-armani.md) - [Rattan Detailed Custom Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fiat-500-spiaggina.md) - [Panda-Inspired Retro Car Conepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/megapanda.md) - [Life-Size LEGO Brick Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1950s-cadillac-fleetwood.md) - [Semi-Transparent Concept Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/renault-twingo-concept.md) - [Haute Auto Pattern Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audi-car-couture.md) - [Retro Sci-Fi-Inspired Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2025-12cilindri.md) - [Tent-Integrated Pink Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cla-model.md)
