Not only is it beautiful to behold in all of its [glass and wood glory](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/podio-cup), it also completely focuses on the social aspects of preparing and enjoying tea with others. Created by Seattle-based design collective Free Time Industries, the Faraday tea set allows you to boil your water right there in front of yourself and your guests thanks to the [induction plate embedded in the tray](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calm-kettle). Named after the chemist-physicist Michael Faraday, it also takes on the aesthetic of laboratory instruments in a clean, organic manner. According to the designers, the Faraday tea set "merges the task of preparing tea with the social experience of consuming it." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.3/10 - Popularity: 1% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Social Tea Experience:** The Faraday tea set merges the task of preparing tea with the social experience of consuming it. - **Induction Technology Integration:** The induction plate embedded in the Faraday tea set tray allows for easy water boiling right in front of guests. - **Laboratory Aesthetic:** The Faraday tea set takes on a clean and organic aesthetic inspired by laboratory instruments. ### Where This Applies - **Kitchenware:** The Faraday tea set presents an opportunity for the kitchenware industry to explore innovative tea preparation and social experience products. - **Home Decor:** The Faraday tea set's wood and glass design offers options for creating unique and aesthetically pleasing home decor pieces. - **Hospitality:** The Faraday tea set can be a disruptive solution for the hospitality industry, enhancing tea service experiences in hotels and restaurants. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Surrealist-Inspired Tea Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tea-for-two-collection.md) - [Minimalist Capsule Tea Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dado-tea-machine.md) - [Automated Extraction Teapots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reedesigned-teapot.md) - [Cultural Tea-Inspired Health Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origin-health-pot.md) - [Stacked Tea Kettle Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stacked-tea-kettle.md) - [Modern Electric Samovars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-samovar.md) - [Architecturally Inspired Teas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frank-lloyd-wright-collection.md) - [Relaxing Countertop Tea Brewers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-tea-maker.md) - [Playful Teapot Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/teapot-design1.md)
