# Fantasy Storage Spaces Träd Enchanted Forest Shelter is for Organization and Amusement By Katie Cordrey | Published 2009-02-02 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fantasy-spaces-for-imaginary-places-traed-enchanted-forest-storage-shelter References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2009/01/22/under-my-own-enchanted-forest/) Träd is a [storage system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tumba) and a shelter. It is a child’s very own space for real-world stuff and for the stuff of imagination and amusement. Spanish designers Josué Gamonal and Vicente Porres certainly put themselves in a child’s mindset when they came up with this take on the [childhood playhouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-eternal-child). When I was little, my brothers and I built ‘forts’ under the huge rhododendron bushes that grew two stories high beneath the tall porch windows of our house. Later, we built a [treehouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/secret-camp). Grown-ups were not allowed. When the hay was harvested, we made ‘caves’ by stacking bales of hay in the barn. The elegantly simple Träd provides many of the same opportunities for fantasy and play in a contained structure that can be accommodated in nearly any home environment. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Childhood Play Spaces:** Träd Enchanted Forest Shelter creates a unique space for children to engage in imaginative play and organization. - **Multifunctional Storage Systems:** Träd combines storage and shelter in one design, providing a disruptive innovation in the storage industry. - **Immersive Play Experiences:** Träd offers a shelter that encourages children to engage in imaginative and immersive play, presenting opportunities for innovation in the entertainment industry. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture:** Träd Enchanted Forest Shelter offers a new approach to furniture design, incorporating both storage and play elements. - **Interior Design:** The Träd system provides an innovative solution for creating unique and imaginative spaces within homes, disrupting traditional interior design practices. - **Children's Products:** Träd Enchanted Forest Shelter introduces a new type of play and storage product for children, opening up opportunities for disruption in the children's products industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tent‑Filled Daycare Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deya-day-care.md) - [Living Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treevive.md) - [Eco-Friendly Organized Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tronco.md) - [Educational Storage Shed Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-roof.md) - [Vaulted Structural Telescopic Treehouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artistree-home.md) - [Independence-Encouraging Toy Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toy-storage-box.md) - [Contemporary Playroom Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/randle-wall-climbing-handle.md) - [Nature-Inspired Indoor Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sarit-shani-hay.md) - [Solo Flexible Study Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-forest.md)
