# Elegant Timber Ventilators The Fan (c) Fan is a Creative Recrafting of a Familiar Object By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-05-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fan-c-fan References: [furnitureserved](http://www.furnitureserved.com/) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/marcogallegos) You can tell straight away that the Fan (c) Fan is no normal household ventilator, for it's been composed of a few atypical materials and takes an unusually exquisite form. Step back and gain a little perspective and you'll realize that it has also been manufactured to a surprising scale. Marco Gallegos constructed this appliance to a height that dwarfs the vast majority of [domestic standing fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-cooling). The tripod alone measures approximately the same as an adult male. The diameter of the head is also nearly 2 feet across. But what's perhaps most striking about the Fan (c) Fan is its beautiful craftsmanship. The base has been made from pieces of [pale wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-diffuser), and the propeller has been as well. It's neatly complemented by white-painted metal components for a [gorgeous minimalist design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aeroview-air-purifier). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Exquisite Ventilators:** New material combinations and manufacturing techniques create opportunities for producing aesthetically pleasing ventilators. - **Oversized Appliances:** The trend towards larger and more impressive household equipment continues. - **Craftsmanship in Appliances:** Consumers are increasingly showing a preference for appliances that are beautiful in addition to being functional. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Appliances:** The home appliance industry has an opportunity to innovate by focusing on designs that blend function with beauty. - **Furniture:** Furniture companies can expand their product lines by creating functional home appliances that fit within their design aesthetics. - **Interior Design:** As home appliances aspire to become more beautiful, the interior design industry will find new opportunities to create cohesive and visually pleasing spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Rectangular Bladeless Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rectangular-bladeless-fans.md) - [Multipurpose Living Space Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-circulation-fan.md) - [Opulent Air-Amplifying Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dyson-cool-cf1.md) - [Florally-Inspired Ceiling Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blossom-ceiling-fan.md) - [Smart Ceiling Fan Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fanpro.md) - [Modern Folding Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiarmour-titanium-fan.md) - [Revived Retro Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heritage-fan.md) - [Lamp-Equipped Fan Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abode-gale-fan.md) - [Stylish High-Performance Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shark-turboblade.md)
