# Modern Macaroni Ventilators Vincent Claudepierre Used his Noodle to Design a Unique Fan By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-08-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fan-by-vincent-claudepierre References: [industrialdesignserved](http://www.industrialdesignserved.com/gallery/Fan/3041523) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/vincentclaudepierre) Fan by Vincent Claudepierre is the product of a desire to redesign the [conventional look of the common ventilator](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shark-turboblade). When what the user requires is a cool stream of stirred up air, why is it that these appliances always look the same? With this question in mind, Vincent looked for inspiration elsewhere and stumbled upon the bent tubular shapes of great [industrial exhaust fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fanpro). Through a careful creative process of down-scaling and streamlining, his singular product was developed. The final model looks like a beautiful glossy ebony piece of rigati pasta with a bold orange interior. It sits on the floor, looking poised to oscillate, but remains steady on a [minimalist base](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aeroview-air-purifier). Fan by Vincent Claudepierre pulls stale air through a grate at one end, past a propeller and out through the open other side. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Redesigned Ventilation Appliances:** Innovative approaches to redesigning conventional HVAC appliances such as ventilators - **Industrial-inspired Design:** Applying industrial design to household appliances for a unique and aesthetic look - **Minimalist Fan Bases:** Designing fans with minimalist bases to create a sleek and modern aesthetic ### Where This Applies - **Consumer Electronics:** Opportunities for companies to design stylish and unique household appliances, such as fans, that offer a new take on a familiar product - **Home Decor:** Bringing industrial design into home decor to create a unique and modern vibe - **Interior Design:** Incorporating minimalist designs into home furnishings such as fans to offer a sleek and modern look for any space ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multipurpose Living Space Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-circulation-fan.md) - [Modern Compact Wooden Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fantastic-fan.md) - [Pasta-Inspired Curvaceous Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neotenic-lamp.md) - [Self-Covering Cooling Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clofan.md) - [Opulent Air-Amplifying Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dyson-cool-cf1.md) - [Florally-Inspired Ceiling Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blossom-ceiling-fan.md) - [Multi-Functional Heating Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-heating-fan.md) - [Dress Shirt-Friendly Cooling Fans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-fan-ii.md) - [Smart Ceiling Fan Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fanpro.md)
