Ever since I visited the island of Murano outside of Venice, where they make some of the finest (and cheesiest) glass in the world, I've had an obsessions with [fine glass objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spiral-glass). This log centerpiece by Jeff Zimmerman is one of the finest. I've watched comparable glass blowers work, and for a piece to reach the level of perfection that these logs have acheived is a real accomplishment. I'm assuming there probably was a lot of broken glass on the floor after this run. I also mention the piece because it continues this establishing trend of [recreating natural objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-great-tree), such as [logs and antlers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/don-heston-studio) and the like, in materials that have to be highly manipulated to acheive the form of the natural object.
