# Divine Dessication Vases Fadeless Vases Arrange Flowers for Preservation and Presentation By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-08-23 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fadeless-vases References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/49689/) & [designsoil.jp](http://www.designsoil.jp/archives/category/works) These Fadeless Vases have been designed to do something that very few decorative vessels can accomplish effectively. They have been conceived to create and to display [dead blossoms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flower-preservation) rather than lush living ones. The assortment of pieces that make up the Design Soil collection by [Nobu Miake](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eastern-algarve) can be installed in different orientations so that fresher flowers can be cinched into them for upside-down suspension. There are two circular trellises of this sort, one rectangular one and a crooked linear one as well. Once the stems and petals in these [little hanging lattices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/navazi) have become sufficiently dehydrated, to preserve the plants longer term, the Fadeless Vases' fancy frameworks can be reversed or rearranged to allow for the upward display of the once-living natural ornamentation. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 42% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Preservation Art:** Innovative vases that preserve and present dead flowers create a new art form for interior decor and event planning. - **Vertical Greenery:** Upside-down suspension of flowers in trellises for dehydration presents new opportunities for vertical gardening and urban farming designs. - **Sustainability Decor:** Sustainable and eco-friendly vases like the Design Soil collection by Nobu Miake can inspire a new era of decorating with purpose and responsible aesthetics. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** The preservation art trend can disrupt the home decor industry by offering a new way to display flowers and plants in a sustainable and stylish way. - **Event Planning:** Vertical greenery trend can disrupt the event planning industry by creating new design possibilities for suspended floral arrangements and eco-friendly decor. - **Gardening:** Upside-down suspension of flowers for dehydration can disrupt the gardening industry by presenting a new method for urban farming and vertical greenery designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Personalized Floral Grid Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-vase.md) - [Conceptual Fresh Flower Refrigerators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flora.md) - [Floating Stem Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lotus-effect-vase.md) - [Delicate Colorful Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-colorful-vase.md) - [Greenery-Inspired Textured Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leaf-textured-ceramic-vase.md) - [Chandelier-Shaped Self-Watering Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/selfwatering-vase.md) - [Stunning Dried Flower Arrangements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/east-olivia.md) - [Miniature Cylindrical Flower Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hanakubari.md) - [Preserved Flower Keepsakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flower-preservation.md)
