A wooden credenza-like section is partially hidden (depending on the product's orientation in a space) on the lower side to keep books or other essentials organized. The Frigerio Poltrone e Divani 'Domino' fabric sofa acts as a single piece that can be added to a space without the need for other units; an ideal scenario for [condos and apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coddle-luke-sleeper-sofa). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 84% | Activity: 65% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Small Space Living:** The trend of smaller homes creates opportunities for furniture designs that maximize storage and functionality. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** Designing furniture that serves multiple purposes, such as seating and storage, meets the needs of compact living spaces. - **Space-saving Solutions:** Innovative products like bookcase-embedded sofas provide efficient storage solutions for small living areas. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture:** The furniture industry can explore and develop more creative and space-saving designs to cater to the growing demand for compact living solutions. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate bookcase-embedded sofas to optimize storage and enhance functionality in small living spaces. - **Real Estate:** Real estate developers can showcase the benefits of space-saving furniture, like bookcase-embedded sofas, to attract buyers interested in compact and efficient living. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [All-in-One Modular Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rezy-sofa.md) - [Modular Cat-Friendly Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quarter-sofa.md) - [Modular Multifunctional Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hulala-home-elitenest.md) - [Compact Collapsing Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acordion-modular-sofa.md) - [Modular Storage-Equipped Pet Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-sofa.md) - [Modular Minimalist Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zonatta-bumper-sofa.md) - [Modular Coffee Table Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silky-sofa.md) - [Stacked Brick-Like Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-brick-modular-sofa.md) - [Versatile Sofa-Bed Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neptune-sofa.md)
