Fans of Rick & Morty will recognize these treats from the Interdimensional Cable 2: Tempting Fate episode, as they feature the exact same packaging as pictured in the adult cartoon show. Although the box may look like it contains a standard [dry breakfast cereal](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/demogorgon-crunch), the packaging holds a dozen [gourmet white chocolate truffles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/truffles), complete with green strawberry filling. In the show, characters caught with a box of Eyeholes risk getting beaten up by the Eyehole Man—on this note, FYE states: "FYE guarantees these Eyeholes are worth the risk of getting beat up by Eyehole Man." The novelty Rick & Morty Eyehole Chocolate Truffles are set to be available online and in-store exclusively through FYE later this fall, although the product is currently available for pre-order. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 51% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Novelty Food Products:** There is a growing trend in creating unique and novelty food products, such as the Rick & Morty Eyehole Chocolate Truffles, to cater to the interests of pop culture enthusiasts. - **Collaborations with Animated Shows:** More businesses are collaborating with popular animated shows, like FYE did with Cartoon Network Enterprises and Adult Swim, to create limited edition products that appeal to the show's fanbase. - **Gourmet Confections with a Twist:** The rise of gourmet confections with unexpected flavor combinations, like white chocolate truffles with green strawberry filling, is gaining popularity among consumers looking for unique taste experiences. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Food and Beverage:** The food and beverage industry can explore opportunities to create novelty products based on popular animated shows to tap into the market of pop culture enthusiasts. - **Entertainment Merchandise:** The entertainment merchandise industry can develop collaborations with animated shows to create exclusive limited edition products that appeal to the fanbase and generate additional revenue streams. - **Specialty Confectionery:** The specialty confectionery industry can capitalize on the trend of gourmet confections with unexpected flavor combinations by experimenting with unique ingredient pairings to create innovative and indulgent sweet treats. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cartoon-Themed Sour Candies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trolli-sour-brite-crawlers.md) - [Co-Branded Sour Gummies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rick-and-morty-trolli-sour-brite-crawlers.md) - [Nostalgic Series-Inspired Cookies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chips-ahoy-x-stranger-things.md) - [Dark-Comedy Inspired Cereals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wednesday-cereal.md) - [Cereal-Studded Easter Eggs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rice-krispies-milk-chocolate-eggs.md) - [Collectible-Inspired Chocolates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palm-bites.md) - [Pickle-Shaped Chocolates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pickle-milk-chocolate.md) - [Sci-Fi Cartoon Cosmetics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rick-and-morty-x-sheglam.md) - [Mysterious Sci-Fi Series Lollipops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chupa-chups-x-stranger-things.md)
