The lock is made of a serial combination that has to be correctly implemented in order for users to successfully access out the flash drive for use. The USB features a gilded metal design with a cylindric shape that connects to a leather lanyard. The flash drive then slots into a rectangular casing with a mechanical lock combination containing five numbers. The exterior casing adds an added level of protection to digital documents by requiring users of the flash drive to first know the code. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 58% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Vintage-meets-modern Designs:** Opportunity to create innovative products that merge old and new elements. - **Exterior Lock Systems:** Opportunity to create secure and unique data storage solutions with external locking mechanisms. - **Cylindrical Shaped Usbs:** Opportunity to create distinctive and visually appealing USB designs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Technology:** Provide secure storage solutions for digital documents and files. - **Fashion:** Incorporate unique and stylish USBs as fashion accessories. - **Gifts and Novelties:** Create unique and customizable USBs that serve as personalized and secure gifts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dedicated Encryption Storage Keys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lexar-jumpdrive-fingerprint-f35-pro.md) - [Ironclad Encryption Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kingston-ironkey-vault-privacy-50.md) - [Passcode-Protected Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/key-encryption-ssd.md) - [Object-Resembling USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandisk-1.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-trek-discovery-flash-drives.md) - [Secure Encrypted SSDs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touchlock-unlocks-drives.md) - [Icon-Shaped USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folderdrive.md) - [Data-Protecting USB Keys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nukii.md) - [Portable Encrypted Storage Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auravolt.md)
