When Amsterdam architects O+A were asked to create an extension for a 1970s home in the Netherlands, the result was this interesting piece of architecture.

Though surely well done and stable, O+A's extension appears to be falling over. The addition by O+A was completed in the 1990s for a private client. It was built to accommodate a conference room and two-car garage.

**Implications** - Architectural designs quickly grow repetitive, and so designs that push the boundaries of what has been done in the past are the ones that gain the most attention. This particular design looks unstable and unusual, and so it become eye-catching and note-worthy in the eyes of consumers.
