This bizarre series of [animal sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fibredog) by artist Erika Sanada is meant to create a sense of excitement and uneasiness in viewers. Sanada has been creating odd ball sculptures since she was young, using art as an escape from bullying and the cruelty of classmates.

These animal fetus sculptures stir up feelings in Sanada's audience. They terrify, captivate and create intrigue. These little critters all have white, lifeless eyes which contributes to the [spooky feel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deddy-bears) behind these sculptures. One of these freaky artworks includes some kind of umbilical cord attached to the animal's forehead. Another sculpture shows viewers two [grotesque critters joined together](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/junji-ito-artwork) at the spine.

These striking and peculiar sculptures are extremely hard to look away from. But be warned, they may give you nightmares if you stare too long.
