# Transforming Work Desks 'Evodesk XE' Enables Users to Create a Standing Work Area By Hayley McGlone | Published 2016-07-08 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evodesk References: [evodesk](https://www.evodesk.com/store/evodesk-xe) As [standing desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakywood-standing-desk-pro) are becoming more popular for their health benefits for those who are tired of sitting for long hours, many [office furniture brands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/workspace-designs) are adapting to this shift -- Evodesk XE has created a new alternative and helps professionals customize their workspace. Evodesk took into account that not all offices permit workers to change their desk, and so created the XE, which is a device that converts a normal desk into a standing desk. The XE is power-adjustable, so users can adjust to the height most suitable for them, and then readjust if they wish to sit back down. Evodesk boasts that "its 24-volt DC motors power the XE through transitions at a whisper quiet sound level." The desk also comes in three finishes, so the user can pick the one that most suits their style or office space. The Evodesk is a great option for anyone who is tired of the monotony of sitting at a desk, but can't switch over to a complete standing desk. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 82% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Rise of Standing Desks:** The growing popularity of standing desks is creating opportunities for innovative solutions like Evodesk XE that convert traditional desks into standing desks. - **Personalized Workspaces:** The demand for customization in workspaces is driving the development of devices like Evodesk XE that allow professionals to personalize their desk height and style. - **Quiet and Discreet Office Furniture:** The need for quiet and unobtrusive office furniture has led to the creation of products like Evodesk XE which boasts its whisper quiet sound level. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Office Furniture:** The office furniture industry is being transformed by the rising demand for standing desks and the need for customizable and discreet workspace solutions. - **Health and Wellness:** The health and wellness industry can capitalize on the trend of standing desks and offer related products and services to support workplace well-being. - **Workspace Technology:** The workspace technology industry can innovate by developing more advanced devices like Evodesk XE that enhance productivity and comfort in the office. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Adjustable Laptop Desk Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sitstand-desk1.md) - [Ergonomic Standing Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergonomic-standing-desks.md) - [Tech-Packed Standing Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revoxen-standing-desk.md) - [Wirelessly Adjustable Standing Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chakram-heightadjustable-standing-desk.md) - [Tech-Packed Standing Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flexispot-comhar-pro-q8.md) - [Mechanical Motor-Free Standing Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/standing-desk-concept.md) - [Electric Standing Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergear-electric-standing-desk.md) - [Floor-Sit Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uppeal-desk-lshaped.md) - [10-in-One Standing Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/standing-desk-by-oselem-design.md)
