'Everything is Inside' is an exhibition presented by Indian artist Subodh Gupta at MMK Frankfurt.

The exhibition aims to address the contemporary conception and perception of India as a society in which tradition, spirituality and religious belief are equally important as the country's rapid modernization, economic growth and strength. Whether one considers the [sculptures, installations, paintings or performances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/host-exhibition), there is one common threat -- all of the works contemplate local Indian phenomena set in a global context.

'Everything is Inside' utilizes everyday and seemingly mundane and 'typically Indian' objects and investigates the cultural meaning attributed to them. For example, he uses an oversized [marble lunch box](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/out-of-orifice) to ponder the difference in cultural understandings. Marble is considered a luxury product in the West but is a standard construction material in India, where it is often used for floors and bathrooms.
