# Illuminating Disc Panels Everbright is a Life-Sized Lite-Brite Allowing Users to Dial in Colors By Ady Floyd | Published 2015-08-17 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/everbright References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2015/08/13/turn-a-disc-on-this-board-to-dial-in-any-color-of-the-rainbow/) & [hero-design](http://www.hero-design.com/) Design studio Hero Design created a childhood-inspired [disc wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/library-of-light) called Everbright. Like the Lite-Brite toy, this wall mount is pure black with palm-sized discs that change color by being rotated. This [interactive wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hue-play-wall-washer) invites guests to create their own patterns and creative designs simply by turning the discs. Each disc has the ability to embody every color of the rainbow. With an extensive range of hues it allows designs to be unique. Everbright is described as a "high-precision engagement machine. Inspired by that classic children’s toy the Lite-Brite." While this version measures a vast 42 times larger than the toy, the idea is quite the same. This playful wall presents a [child-like sense of creativity](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodleface) that will satisfy both adult and child imagination. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 74% | Activity: 59% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Interactive Design:** The Everbright disc wall demonstrates the trend of interactive design by allowing users to create their own patterns and designs. - **Color-changing Technology:** The color-changing discs in Everbright showcase the trend of innovative color-changing technology. - **Creative Engagement:** Everbright's ability to engage both adults and children highlights the trend of fostering creative engagement. ### Who This Affects Most - **Design and Architecture:** The design studio behind Everbright operates in the design and architecture industry, where there are opportunities for incorporating interactive elements in various projects. - **Toy Manufacturing:** The Everbright disc wall is inspired by a classic toy, suggesting opportunities for toy manufacturers to innovate and create interactive versions of traditional toys. - **Entertainment and Events:** The Everbright wall can be used in entertainment venues and events to provide a unique and engaging experience for guests, presenting opportunities for the entertainment industry to incorporate interactive installations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nostalgic Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/litebrite-worlds-of-wonder.md) - [Interactive Creativity Home Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodle-interactive-wall.md) - [Disco Light-Replicating Illuminaries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flasher.md) - [Dazzling Gradient Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-bulb.md) - [Nostalgic Light Board Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/litebrite.md) - [Pixelated Streaming Series Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stranger-things-litebrite-deluxe-wall-art.md) - [Modular Brick Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brick-light.md) - [Plexiglass Vibrant Wall Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vibeke-fonnesberg-schmidt.md) - [Modular Dynamic Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonside-neon-hex.md)
