# Spherical Backyard Cookers The Eva Solo Grill Globe is Unexpectedly Chic By Courtney Scharf | Published 2012-05-30 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eva-solo-grill-globe References: [uncrate](http://uncrate.com/stuff/eva-solo-grill-globe/) & [evasolo](http://www.evasolo.com/productinfo/571090) A far cry from [clunky and over-sized BBQs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertical-offset-charcoal-smoker), the Eva Solo Grill Globe is a stylish take on this backyard staple. An unexpected departure from its predecessors, this cooker is minimalist and super sleek. Complete with some pretty snazzy features, this grill is globe-shaped and cooks meat better than most of its kind. Uniform in color, using only [stainless steel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solo-stove-steelfire-30-griddle) and a black bottom, this is an easy-to-match appliance which will go well in all sorts of environments. Though as tempting as the meals it helps create, this grill comes at a high cost of about $500. Considering the simplicity of the grill, some might consider this to be a bit out of reach. Despite the [high price tag](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/american-outdoor-grill), this grill is a smooth and shiny update to an appliance that doesn't allow for much interpretation. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Minimalist Backyard Cookers:** There is an opportunity to offer more minimalist and elegant backyard cookers with streamlined features - **Globe-shaped Cookers:** There is a growing demand for globe-shaped cookers that offer superior cooking performance and standout design features - **Sleek Grill Design:** There is a need for more innovative grill designs that are sleek and stylish while also offering superior cooking capabilities ### Where This Applies - **Outdoor Cooking Equipment:** Outdoor cooking equipment manufacturers should consider incorporating more minimalist and globe-shaped designs to appeal to modern tastes - **Home Appliances:** Home appliance companies can take inspiration from the sleek and minimalist design of the Eva Solo Grill Globe to create minimalist and streamlined products for the home - **Luxury Kitchen Appliances:** Luxury kitchen appliance manufacturers should consider investing in high-end grill designs that offer standout design features and premium performance capabilities ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cooking-Friendly Outdoor Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/regg-surprise.md) - [Smart Broiler Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summit-fs38-e.md) - [Chic Exterior Electric Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smeg-builtin-electric-bbq-grill.md) - [Connected Backyard Charcoal Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-charcoal-grill.md) - [High-End Flattop Barbecues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/traeger-flatrock-grill.md) - [Compact Tabletop Charcoal Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/afterglow-portable-charcoal-stove.md) - [Old-Fashioned Toolbox Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-blaze-charcoal-grill.md) - [Multilayer Portable Charcoal Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barbeall-portable-charcoal-grill.md) - [Collapsible Top-Heated Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revo-stovigo.md)
