The system consists up an upper section that can be filled with your choice of plants, which will then begin to grow thanks to the [hydroponic design of the planter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aerospring-pinch-hydroponic-system). The plant roots will break down ammonia to produce nitrites that will then offer sustenance for the fish living in the aquarium below. The 'EVA' planter is a truly all-in-one solution for the home that is focused on providing users with a [closed-circle experience](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plantafrom-smart-indoor-garden) that will continue to flourish without having to spend extended periods tending to it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 98% | Activity: 95% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Aquarium-equipped Hydroponic Planters:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine hydroponics and aquaponics to create a self-sustainable system for growing plants and nurturing aquatic life. - **Self-sufficient Home Planting Systems:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop intuitive planters that require minimal maintenance and provide a closed-circle experience for users. - **Hydroponic Design for Indoor Plant Growth:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design innovative hydroponic systems that optimize plant growth and reduce the need for traditional soil-based gardening. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Gardening:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create new market opportunities by offering self-sufficient planting systems for homeowners. - **Aquaponics:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the potential of combining aquaponics with hydroponics to revolutionize the agriculture industry. - **Indoor Farming:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop efficient hydroponic designs for indoor farming that maximize plant yields and minimize resource consumption. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stylish Indoor Hydroponic Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folia-origin.md) - [Water-Powered Planter Smart Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planto.md) - [Automated Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-evergrow.md) - [Futuristic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-klaustrafloria.md) - [Modular Automated Indoor Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/totam-planter.md) - [Naturalistic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apot-selfwatering-planter.md) - [Aeroponic Desktop Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/izestee.md) - [Furniture-Inspired Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/indoor-garden-system.md) - [Self-Sustaining Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/automated-hydroponic-indoor-garden.md)
