It can be a little more difficult for some people to relate to abstract art, yet pieces like Eva Hild's 2011-2012 sculptures don't ask that you understand them. This series of four spellbinding creations draws in your gaze and gives your eyes a unique and mesmerizing experience.
Sinuate, Protuberance, Splay and Track have been modeled from hard stoneware to give the appearance of fluid materials that have been frozen amidst liquid transformations. The elaborate white and black objects form bubbles, pockets, openings, bends and graceful curves. They look completely different with every pace you take around their perimeters, allowing you to appreciate the sculptures for their uniqueness of shape and the incredible skill behind their production.
