If you've ever been to Europe -- and you enjoy taking in the culture as opposed to just tanning and drinking -- then it is almost a given that you went to visit at least one church while you are on vacation there. Why? Because they are absolutely stunning. In this European church photo series, Swiss photographer Cyril Porchet takes us with him on a journey as he visits and photographs different [baroque churches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/st-leonards-church) in Germany, Spain and Austria -- Porchet mostly focuses on capturing the [captivating altars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-barca) for his photography project ‘Seduction’. Pochet chose to focus on just the alters because he feels that they do a great job at portraying the extravagance of the baroque style. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Baroque Church Photography:** Capturing the opulent beauty of baroque churches through photography presents an opportunity to showcase architectural and artistic mastery. - **European Church Tourism:** The popularity of visiting European churches as cultural destinations represents an opportunity for travel agencies, tour guides, and hospitality businesses to cater to this niche market. - **Baroque Art Appreciation:** The fascination with baroque art, particularly altars, opens up opportunities for art galleries, museums, and auction houses to showcase and monetize this extravagant style. ### Who This Affects Most - **Photography:** Photographers specializing in architectural and artistic photography can showcase their skills by capturing the stunning detail and intricacy of baroque churches. - **Travel and Tourism:** Travel agencies, tour guides, and hospitality businesses can tap into the demand for European church tours and provide immersive experiences for cultural enthusiasts. - **Art and Culture:** Art galleries, museums, and auction houses have the potential to exhibit and sell baroque artworks, particularly altars, attracting art collectors and enthusiasts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Angular Church Matte Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/red-church.md) - [Albanian Sleek Concrete Chuches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/narac-church.md) - [Sculptural Bar Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bar-far.md) - [Temple-Inspired Striking Galleries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abin-design-studio.md) - [Reflection-Encouraging Cohesive Churches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hjvangen-church.md) - [Modern Tuscan Chapel Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pailunga-tuscan-chapel.md) - [Beautiful Forest-Enclosed Churches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mountain-church-of-julong.md) - [Artfully Functional Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chant.md) - [Inverted Boat Chapels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-barca.md)
